Great for kids and families! The area features a playground and large grassy park, with washrooms, change rooms, picnic tables, benches, and evening outdoor concerts. Volunteers and paid students work together at this quaint little cafe right on Willows Beach.
McNeill Bay
This peaceful beach is rocky and more appropriate for beach strolls than swimming and is considered a great option if you want to take your dog somewhere off-leash. Occasionally you will see locals paddleboarding or windsurfing in McNeill Bay. Along the bay is a beautiful esplanade and along Beach Drive there are plenty of benches to stop and enjoy a nice view. In the summer, you just might find someone playing the piano!
Here, you’ll find The Oak Bay Marina and Dockside Eatery. The walkway at Turkey Head Point starts at Beach Drive and continues outside the Oak Bay Marina parking lot, finishing at the cafe. Along the way, you’ll see the iconic “Salish Sea” metal art installation by Coast Salish artist Chris Paul. Catch stunning sunrise views over the well-appointed marina with unobstructed views of Mount Baker in the distance.
